Our client is an exciting startup, launching a disruptive technology in the cell therapy/cell culture market. This company has a great corporate culture with an experienced leadership team with proven success in bringing innovative technologies to market.

They are expanding in the US, seeking a West Coast person to help grow the business through prospecting, account management and representing the company at vendor shows and conferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts
  • Manage entire sales process; prospecting, quotes, order fulfillment and follow-up
  • Account management responsibilities – ensure customers are satisfied with products, and maintain relationships for secondary orders and referral business
  • Heavy focus on prospecting, lead generation and product awareness
  • Represent company through vendor shows, scientific conferences and key account events
  • Assist with email and social media campaigns for brand promotion and market expansion
  • Provide management with monthly business development reports on leads and active sales funnel

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in life science discipline
  • 2+ years life science industry experience (sales, lab or project management)
  • Cell biology, cell culture and/or cell therapy knowledge
  • Hunter! Strong prospecting and business development skills, and a passion for introducing new technologies
  • Established relationships in academic, biopharma and government accounts in the region
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Customer focused; ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Self-motivated, solid work ethic and achievement driven personality.
  • Able to travel 50%
